ABOUT US
The Art Directory produces exclusively art related directories and accompanying searchable online databases.
The first directory was published in 2001 and funded in 2004 by the Gold Coast City Council and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
Our infatuation with the arts industry and interest in the advancement of artists were the main force behind the creation of Artrillium House 11 years ago, as was the immense lack of such resource at that time.

Martina Pook founder and director of "The Art Directory" has been successfully involved in the arts industry for more than 20 years and is also a committed Christian.
She is former Co-Director of Illustration House Pty Ltd. at Southbank Parklands in Brisbane, a selected art show judge within Australia and a former board member of the Regional Arts Development Fund Committee ,Gold Coast City Council.
Her career began with a degree in Art / Graphic Design, following with 15 years as commercial illustrator. She advanced into an intensive involvement within the arts industry and has built considerable expertise in all aspects of arts business.
She has been a passionate mentor for emerging artists and conducts frequent art business workshops.
It was her passion for the arts industry and interest in the advancement of her students and artists which lead to the establishment of Artrillium House in 2001.
A N N E S O R E N S E N Strategy Marketing Specialist
Anne Sorensen is our strategy marketing specialist with more than 21 years experience obtained here in Australia and overseas.
She is passionate about strategic marketing, believing great marketing is a matter of well planning and must be designed to leverage today’s technology. Passionate also about the arts and a frustrated amateur artist, Anne is excited to be a member of the Artrillium House team.
She holds an MBA, Business degree in Marketing and is a Certified Practicing Marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute.

Co- Director / Technical Support Manager
Co- Director / Technical Support ManagerDeane Pook has taken Co-Directorship since May 2010 and also continues in his role as Technical Support Manager.
He is responsible for the smooth functional operation of this website. He should be contacted in case of any problems with this site.
Deane is also currently Technical Support Manager for Altex Coatings Australia.
He comes to us with an extensive knowledge in IT support.

My Webmaster an off-shoot from Oznet Internet Services Pty Ltd has well over 12 years experience in the industry and has dealt with all aspects of an online environment. It is a diversified team of experts who are well versed in their own fields.
Apart from being our team for the development of the online database directory, they also do Domain registration, Database driven Websites, Brand Strategy, Social Media, Video Production, Web design, development and hosting, flash animation, image make-over, programming, marketing and graphic design.
