ABOUT US
Our publishing house produces exclusively art related directories and we are passionate about sharing updated and relevant information with artists.
The first directory was published in 2001 under the name of "Art Competitions and Exhibitions Guide".
The newest, revised and improved edition of "The Directory" series is the "Art Competitions and Exhibitions of Australia and NZ 2010".
There are several new publications on the way with the next upcoming publication:

Martina Pook, formerly known in the arts industry as Martina Matussek, the founder of "The Directory", has been deeply involved in the arts industry for more than 20 years . With a degree in Graphic Design, she has also been a commercial illustrator for many years.
Martina was former Co-Director of Illustration House Pty Ltd. at Southbank Parklands in Brisbane, a selected art show judge and was recently nominated as Regional Arts Development Fund Committee Member of the Gold Coast City Council.
She has been a mentor for many emerging artists and conducts art business workshops. Her passion for the art industry and her love for her students were the main force behind the creation of this publication.
It was only when she met Cathy Osborne, with her enormous enthusiasm, that the spark was ignited to revive this important publication.
CATHERINE OSBORNE
Co-Director / Finance
Co-Director / FinanceCatherine Osborne’s has joined this venture in 2009.
Her career has been multi faceted.
Spanning business, customer service management, legal practice to event planning, her experience is in many areas of the business sector.
Her studies include conveyancing, law studies at Monash University and event management. Cathy's scope now draws on her love of art.
Combining her strengths and driving force with her passion, she has enthusiastically joined forces with Martina to produce a directory that they both believe in.
JULIE CATHERWOODProduction Assistant
Production AssistantJulie Catherwood joined the team as Production Assistant in 2009.
She has a B.Sc. in Applied Science and a Graduate Diploma in Education and has worked in nutritional sales with a number of pharmaceutical companies for over 10 years.
Since having children she has been instrumental in helping various schools and educational institutions achieve their corporate and community objectives utilising her business savvy as well as event management expertise.
While Julie has much experience in sales and marketing she has more recently further developed her IT skills .
ANNE SORENSEN Strategy Marketing Specialist
Anne Sorensen is our strategy marketing specialist with more than 20 years experience obtained here in Australia and overseas.
She is passionate about cost effective, strategic marketing, believing great marketing doesn’t have to be expensive – just well planned and designed to leverage today’s technology. Passionate also about the arts and frustrated amateur artist, Anne is excited to be a member of the Artrillium House team.
She holds an MBA, Business degree in Marketing and is a Certified Practising Marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute.
DEANE POOK Technical Support Manager
Technical Support ManagerDeane Pook is our Technical Support Manager. He is responsible for the smooth operation of our website. He should be contacted if you find problems on this site.
Deane is also currently Technical Support Manager for Altex Coatings Austalia.
He comes to us with an extensive knowledge in IT support.
To the joy of all, Deane and Martina have recently married.
