The Art Directory has a comprehensive listing of 1500 art competitions and awards plus 150 Online and International art competitions and is updated regularly, with numbers of shows increasing.
The Directory was created originally for our art students and colleagues and promise to keep our prices to the truly most minimum possible.

The advantage of an online subscription is that all shows are frequently updated, whereas in free listings they tend to be out-dated, badly organised, incomplete or by far not as comprehensive, but probably most important, none of the free listings are searchable, be it by state, art form, artist type, or entry date.
This is due to the high cost of developing databases in particular searchable ones. Websites are easy to create, databases are not.
Competitions in the Art Directory can be searched by state, art form (Fine Art, Photography, Sculpture etc.), type of artist (professional, emerging, students etc.) and entry month, easing the pain of finding suitable shows for each individual artist.
