ART  AWARDS  AND  ART SCAMS BLACKLIST

The Artrillium House team has created a blacklist of alleged art competitions or companies and art related emails which should be approached with caution, due to the way of dealing with copyright or deceitful claims.

Copyright these days, protect artists with an exclusive right to their own artwork, including the right to reproduce and sell,  as well as the right to display the copyrighted work publicly and earn from reproductions incl. limited edition prints. Copyright does not to be registered in most countries. When an artwork is sold, the artist always remains copyright.

Some organisers ask for full copyright. Even if an award would promise great exposure in return, which is most often NOT the case and at times falsely enlarged, the question still remains "WHY" an organiser would ask for such unethical rights, when there was a respectable reason for creating such law in the first place, namely for the protection of the artist.

World Art Media & NY Arts Magazine
Company gives information which after some research is at least questionable. Very high and also hidden costs for rather little return. It sound and looks great, yet the publication numbers and supposedly exposure is  little in comparison to its claim.  There has been a lot of complaints from artists having been unhappy about results.
